A total of 71 enterprises from Nantong, Jiangsu province, participated in the 34th East China Fair in Shanghai from March 1 to 4, setting up 108 booths to highlight the city's strengths in sectors such as home textiles and daily consumer goods.
Despite a more rational and price-sensitive buyer demand observed on the first day, Nantong companies reported a significant increase in interest and focus on new products.
These enterprises not only engaged actively with both new and existing customers at their booths but also took part in various matchmaking meetings and industry forums. This proactive approach allowed them to gather valuable market insights and explore emerging industry trends.
To maximize the platform's potential, the Nantong municipal bureau of commerce, in collaboration with Chongchuan district and Rudong county, formed an investment promotion team. Their efforts focused on attracting foreign trade headquarters projects, large-scale foreign trade companies, comprehensive foreign trade service enterprises, leading cross-border e-commerce platforms, and high-quality service providers.
Since the start of the year, the bureau has consistently strengthened support for foreign trade enterprises by facilitating their participation in domestic and international exhibitions, helping them secure orders and expand their market reach.
