A delegation from Putuo district, Shanghai, visited Tongzhou district, Nantong, where an agreement was signed between Shanghai Tiandi Software Park and the Pingchao Science and Technology Innovation Zone.

This exchange marks another step forward for Tongzhou in integrating into the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) industrial innovation belt along the Shanghai-Nanjing axis. 

Project implementation in both regions has been accelerating. Relying on resources from Putuo, Tongzhou has secured four effective projects within the past six months. Among them, the robotics project from Zhijing Technology won the third prize at the 10th Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Tongzhou.

The connection with innovation sources is also deepening. Teams from Tongzhou visited key laboratories at Tongji University and East China Normal University and identified four convertible scientific and technological achievements.

The development of scientific innovation landscapes has also sped up, with Tongzhou planning to set up an incubator at Xintai Center. The center is located at the heart of the Shanghai-Nanjing innovation belt, where a hub is taking shape, bringing together R&D, incubation, exhibition, meetings, and offices under one roof.

Looking ahead, Tongzhou will deepen cross-regional cooperation with Shanghai in terms of funds and projects, explore benefit-sharing models, and leverage its strengths to help develop Nantong into a city known for distinctive AI applications and innovative development in the YRD region.
