Turin Smart Robot in Hai'an has become one of the few domestically owned manufacturers capable of independently designing and manufacturing complete industrial robots.
Its product portfolio includes several series, such as SCARA robots and collaborative robots.
In 2025, Turin Smart Robot shipped more than 7,000 units, with its products widely used in industries such as metallurgy, automotive, and 3C electronics.
Zhou Junjie, the company's deputy general manager, said the firm is using AI algorithms to optimize robot path planning, quality control, and fault prediction, helping manufacturers lower costs while increasing efficiency and product quality.
Local research institutes are also playing a key role. The Haian-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Intelligent Equipment Research Institute and other academic institutions are working closely with local companies on technological advances in areas such as machine vision, robot control, and big data collection.
To date, more than 100 cooperation agreements have been signed, accelerating the transition of technological innovations from laboratories into real-world production lines.
