The Nantong Spring Festival Folk Parade kicked off in the Nantong South Street commercial district on Feb 21, and Haimen formation made a stunning appearance with an e-sports-themed performance.

Ten actors from the Haimen Folk Song Art Theater transformed into characters from the popular game Honor of Kings, parading in exquisite costumes while singing folk melodies. Behind them, a lively group of 60 students from Haimen Secondary Vocational School formed a dynamic ensemble, moving in sync with the rhythm of the folk songs. 

"Choosing e-sports as the theme for the parade serves not only as a concentrated showcase of Haimen's achievements in the e-sports industry but also aims to breathe new life into local culture through formats that resonate with the younger generation," said Shen Hui, head of the Haimen Public Culture and Art Center and director of the Haimen Cultural Center. 

In recent years, Haimen district has prioritized e-sports as a key emerging cultural industry. With the establishment of the popular e-sports team Hero Jiujing, its influence has continued to grow.
