Tongzhou district, Nantong, has unveiled a comprehensive action plan for the development of the artificial intelligence industry over the next three years, aiming to transform from a manufacturing powerhouse into an intelligent manufacturing leader.

The main directions are clear. First, Tongzhou is poised to build a strong foundation in computing power and data to fuel innovation in AI models and algorithms. Second, it seeks to deepen AI integration across sectors, accelerating their digital transformation. Third, it will strengthen basic hardware, software, and professional services to create a complete embodied AI ecosystem. Lastly, it targets cutting-edge areas like embodied AI and robotics for new growth.

Key tasks include optimizing the industrial layout, leveraging high-level platforms such as the Nantong Digital Economy Innovation Collaboration Center, attracting projects through partnerships with giants like Huawei and Alibaba, promoting AI application scenarios, and gathering innovative elements, including top talent and specialized funds.

By 2028, Tongzhou aims to introduce 150 new AI-related projects, establish 21 industrial carriers, develop a high-quality platform, build nine industry-specific models, and implement 45 typical application cases.
