Lanterns set to light up Langshan Mountain

As the Year of the Horse fast approaches, the second Langshan Mountain Spring Festival Lantern Show in Nantong, Jiangsu province, will take place from Feb 2 to March 22.

Taking in both the Spring Festival and the Lantern Festival, this event offers an immersive cultural experience for residents and visitors alike.

Crafted by skilled artisans from Sichuan province's Zigong city, which is cherished for its long history of lantern-making, the festival features three themed exhibition sections, each showcasing distinctive lantern displays. The viewing route starts at the north gate of Langshan Mountain and circles around Yingshan Lake, stretching for 1.36 kilometers.

In addition to the stunning lantern displays, the festival will host a variety of exciting performances. There will be snack areas, stalls selling warm winter drinks, and unique cultural and creative booths, allowing visitors to enjoy traditional flavors, purchase handmade lanterns, zodiac paper-cuts, and other cultural heritage products, thus fully experiencing the charm of China's traditional customs.
