The new low-altitude air route between Haimen and Taicang officially commenced operations on Dec 1, when a helicopter took off from Haimen district in Nantong and headed towards Taicang city in Suzhou.
The one-way flight takes only 15 minutes, enabling point-to-point rapid connectivity, which provides an efficient travel option for business commuters and tourists between the two cities.
This follows the opening of Haimen's other low-altitude passenger route to Shanghai Pudong Airport. Future plans include routes to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and other destinations, forming a regional low-altitude transportation network to shorten intercity travel time and drive high-quality development in the Yangtze River Delta region.
