A delegation from Tongzhou district, Nantong, visited Italy and Austria to carry out economic cooperation and investment promotion from Nov 10 to 15, local time.

In Italy, the delegates explored several renowned companies and discussed potential cooperation in sectors like new energy and high-end manufacturing. They also held an investment promotion conference in Milan, facilitating high-quality resource-matching with local technology enterprises and industry giants.

At a local well-known valve company, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on project implementation, focusing on topics such as construction costs, market development, and policy support. The company showed interest in conducting an on-site inspection in Tongzhou.

At another valve firm that has set up operations in Tongzhou, discussions centered on the progress of constructing a manufacturing base in the district's Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone and plans for initiating the second phase.

The delegation also visited a Italy-China entrepreneurs association and participated in a symposium with representatives from various industry chambers of commerce.

In Austria, the focus was on establishing collaborations in the industrial robotics sector. Wittmann Group, a technological leader in the global plastic machinery and automation sector, indicated that with the expansion of its business, Tongzhou will become its preferred location for investment in China.
