Cai Tianlong, the goalkeeper for Team Nantong, recently captured public attention with his outstanding performance in the semifinals of the 2025 Jiangsu Football City League, also known as Suchao, on Oct 19.

His two decisive saves during the penalty shootout were instrumental in propelling Team Nantong to the finals.

Born in 2005, Cai set his goal at the age of 15, becoming the best goalkeeper on China's national team. He started professional training in grade four in the Haimen Codion Football Club.

Cai made his debut as Team Nantong's substitute in the game against Team Zhenjiang on Aug 4, where his diving save in the 88th minute caught the attention of fans.

Behind his success and zeal are unthinkable insistence and many injuries. Chen Linrong, Cai's mother, has seen him train through countless injuries without giving up. She keeps all Cai's medals and always believes in him.
