About 422 companies from Nantong, Jiangsu province, have participated in the 138th China Import and Export Fair, or Canton Fair, which is being held in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, from Oct 15 to Nov 4.

Occupying 662 booths, these companies display new products, materials, and technologies, striving to secure orders and expand their market reach.

Nantong Leimi Trading specializes in producing and exporting various power tools, hand tools, tool accessories, and consumables. At this year's Canton Fair, the company presents over 100 products, many upgraded based on customer feedback from previous fairs.

As a newcomer to the Canton Fair, Leimi Trading is making its debut this year. The company has invested significant effort in product research and development, design, and brand booth setup. Preparations began a month ago, including sample development and inviting existing customers for on-site experiences. The goal is to showcase its advanced manufacturing and innovation capabilities to global buyers, with expected exports reaching $10 million this year.

This year's Canton Fair covers an exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, with 74,600 booths and over 32,000 participating companies, setting new records in all three categories.

To support the city's foreign trade enterprises, the Nantong municipal bureau of commerce identified company needs and provided targeted support and services to help Nantong businesses expand their markets and secure orders.

Nantong exhibitors this year demonstrate three main characteristics: Improved products with mid-to-high-end manufacturing products accounting for over 70 percent, diversified market layout, and a significant enhancement in innovation, according to Ding Lei, deputy director of the Foreign Trade Department at the bureau.
