The giant fabric rolls rotate at the feeding end, while neatly folded bed sheets flow out at the finished product end, automatically stacked into piles. This is the production scene at the Jiuzhoulu Smart Industrial Park in Sanxing town, Haimen district, Nantong.
The park, specializing in mid-to-high-end home textiles, has recently added three fully automated production lines sourced from Germany, each dedicated to making bed sheets, duvet covers, and pillowcases.
With only two personnel managing parameter adjustments, material feeding, and quality inspections, the entire production — ranging from precise fabric cutting to seamless stitching and professional hemming — runs independently.
The line can produce four bed sheets, five duvet covers, and 14 pillowcases each minute, averaging 15 seconds, 12 seconds, and 4.3 seconds per item, respectively. With fewer than 10 workers operating the three lines, daily output exceeds 1,000 sets. "Orders that used to take a month to complete 15,000 sets can now be delivered in just 6 days," said Tang Haiping, the manager of the production lines.
Sanxing town's systematic support for technological innovation underpins the company's intelligent upgrade. In 2025, the town finalized 550 million yuan ($77.08 million) in technology contracts, obtained more than 10 million yuan in basic research funding for firms such as Kaisheng Home Textiles, and launched several high-level talent initiatives to promote industrial advancement.
