The 2025 Nantong Marine Engineering Industry Exhibition opened on Sept 16 at the Nantong International Convention and Exhibition Center, gathering top domestic and international shipbuilders, equipment manufacturers, service providers, and academics for a three-day industry exhibition. 

More than 30 enterprises from Chongchuan district took part in the event. Nantong Saiyang Electronics in the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone has attended six consecutive exhibitions. This year, it exhibited its flagship products, which include satellite integration systems and sensors for marine wind speed and direction. 

Nantong Rainbow Heavy Machinery Co exhibited a series of offshore products like marine and transshipment cranes. Qiu Weifeng, the company's vice general manager, said, "We expanded our booth to display more products. Nantong's shipbuilding and offshore sector is impressive. We believe the exhibition's influence will continue to grow." 

A key event highlight was the centralized procurement zone for shipbuilding and offshore engineering, featuring industry leaders such as COSCO Shipping and Haiting (Nantong) Heavy Industries from Chongchuan. It enables efficient on-site negotiations and demand-solution-cooperation links. 

In recent years, Chongchuan promoted advanced manufacturing sectors such as shipbuilding, offshore engineering, new materials, and marine biomedicine. In the first half of this year, it had 64 marine-related enterprises above designated size, with a 26.1 percent increase in output value.
