The 2025 Nantong Jianghai International Expo is scheduled to take place from Sept 16 to 18 in Nantong, Jiangsu province, highlighting the newest advancements and progress in shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment.

This year's expo spans nearly 30,000 square meters of exhibition space, featuring over 500 companies and an expected audience of 30,000. More than 60 international firms from countries like Finland, the Netherlands, and France, including ABB, Siemens, and Scania, will participate. Global organizations such as Lloyd's Register, the American Bureau of Shipping, and Bureau Veritas will also be in attendance.

The expo will feature numerous exchange, business, and academic meetings centered on shipbuilding, marine engineering, and related marine industries, emphasizing China's innovative accomplishments in the shipbuilding sector.

A dedicated financial services exhibition zone will be established, where different banking institutions will offer specialized support to promote the high-quality growth of shipbuilding and marine engineering firms. On the final day, four routes will be arranged to help professional visitors engage in detailed exchanges and connect with local industrial parks and companies.

Shipbuilding and marine engineering are flagship industries and key identifiers for Nantong. Over the years, the city has evolved from simple ship repair and construction to the joint development of high-tech ships, marine engineering equipment, and related sectors. Surpassing Taizhou and Yangzhou, Nantong has built a nationally recognized advanced manufacturing cluster dedicated to high-tech ships and marine engineering equipment.

Several top domestic and international companies, including COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, have established an industrial cluster in the city.
