Symphony orchestra delivers a grand concert in Nantong

The 2025 Haobin Summer Night art performance kicked off with its first university concert in Nantong, Jiangsu province, on Sept 5.
The Nantong University International Symphony Orchestra treated the audience with a stunning auditory and visual experience through a selection of classic pieces from China and the West.

The concert began with the grand Ode to the Red Flag, followed by pieces like the Yellow River Cantata, Defend the Yellow River, and the First Symphony Overture. Midway, Italian singer Bastrice Fanetti and Nantong University tenor Wang Jian teamed up for I Love You, China, creating the event's highlight. The performance ended with the stirring melody of Ode to the Motherland.
Founded in 2021, the Nantong University International Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Italian maestro Roberto Fiore, serving as the principal conductor. The ensemble features exceptional musicians from both Chinese and international faculty and students. In recent years, the orchestra has garnered multiple national awards and has taken part in prominent performances and global cultural exchanges, aiming to foster the fusion and growth of Eastern and Western musical traditions.
