The "dynamic bus" service in Tongzhou district, Nantong, recently began trial operations.

It functions like a car-hailing service. Users can select their pick-up and destination points via a mobile app, pay the fare, and receive a verification code. Within minutes, the bus arrives at the stop. Passengers simply show the code upon boarding and reach their destination in one go.

The bus optimizes travel routes based on passengers' points of departure and destination, its real-time location, and traffic conditions, ensuring the quickest and most efficient journey possible.

The service operates three vehicles, each accommodating up to 14 passengers, from 7 am to 7 pm. There are 128 stops in total, including 80 regular and 48 virtual stops, covering administrative centers, government service centers, enterprises, institutions, residential areas, and commercial complexes. The fare per person is 3 yuan ($0.42), while the fare for a private charter is 30 yuan.
