The Qixiu Fenghe Cultural Gathering was staged in the Haohe River Scenic Area on Aug 9, integrating music and intangible cultural heritage (ICH) into urban public spaces. The event dissolved boundaries between art and daily life, delivering a sensory feast to visitors through its dynamic and innovative format.

Under the moonlit canopy of the ancient pavilion, stage lighting illuminated the lotus pond as yangqin (a hammered dulcimer), guzheng (Chinese zither), and pipa (Chinese lute) performances commenced in succession. Dancers in traditional hanfu costumes glided through the space, their choreography harmonizing with the aquatic landscape.

The ICH market bustled with activity as visitors sampled lotus-leaf and tangerine-peel tea, participated in lacquer fan crafting, and admired the intricate patterns of traditional indigo-dyed textiles.

Looking ahead, Chongchuan aims to launch more interactive and innovative activities, empowering the city with art and enriching the lives of locals.
