The Jiangsu Football City League, or Suchao, witnessed a crucial match on July 19 with Team Nantong hosting Team Yancheng at home. Meanwhile, outside the stadium, the team from the Nantong Blue Calico Museum showcased their blue calico cloth canvas bags to cheer on their hometown team.
The fierce power of the wolf totem and the blooming chrysanthemums complement each other, while the dynamic river and sea wave patterns flow endlessly, showcasing the deep cultural roots of Nantong alongside the team's determined and enterprising spirit.
The design team focused on Nantong's city flower and the team emblem, aiming to display the team's fearless and tenacious spirit and portray Nantong as a city with a long history of openness, inclusivity, and forward momentum.
From the initial design concept to the final product presentation, the team follows the ancient process of blue calico cloth production – engraving, scraping, dyeing, whitening, and drying – to make the bag.
On the day of the match, this unique gift led to a heartwarming interaction. Yancheng visitors experienced the craft of tie-dying firsthand at the Nantong Blue Calico Museum and received a backpack as a gift.
In recent years, the team at the Nantong Blue Calico Museum has been dedicated to bringing traditional culture into modern life, introducing a series of blue calico cloth-inspired cultural and creative products. They hope that this cultural treasure will become a calling card for Nantong in the future, igniting natives' love and pride for their hometown.
