The Jiangsu provincial tour of outstanding stage artworks and mass cultural works spotlighted Haiment district, Nantong, on the evening of July 20, delivering a spectacular performance for the local residents‌.

The show featured diverse art forms including traditional opera, acrobatics, puppetry, folk music, and dance, showcasing intangible cultural heritage (ICH), outstanding works by renowned artists, provincial award-winning creations, and newly produced theatrical works‌.

Xu Hong, a national representative practitioner of puppetry, captivated the audience with her exquisite craftsmanship in a puppet short play, while the Funing County Acrobatic Troupe awed spectators with their high-difficulty performance featuring rapid spinning and aerial carpet tossing.

The virtuosic performances by opera masters left the audience in awe, with Peking Opera, Huaiju Opera, and Yueju Opera presented in succession. "It's incredible to enjoy performances by so many talented individuals right in our neighborhood!" said local resident Mr Chen.
