Wu Xinming, Party secretary of Nantong in Jiangsu province, met with Andreas Casutt, chairman of the Board of Directors of Swiss pharmaceutical leader Siegfried AG, and the entire board in Nantong on July 4.

After outlining Nantong's basic situation, Wu noted that as national strategies like the Yangtze River Delta integration are implemented, the urban integration between Nantong and Shanghai is growing more significant. "Choosing Nantong is choosing Shanghai" has now become a shared view among many investors.

Currently, Nantong is utilizing the core strengths of its six key industrial clusters and speeding up the development of a modern industrial city centered on advanced technology.

Wu observed that Siegfried AG, a renowned international pharmaceutical company, is strategically planning to establish a global industrial chain, which aligns with Nantong's objective of developing a modern industrial system.

He expressed hope that the company will keep increasing its investment in Nantong, attracting more high-quality projects to establish themselves in the city. Nantong is dedicated to deepening high-level opening-up and fostering a first-class business environment to better support its development and growth, he assured.

Casutt thanked Nantong authorities for their ongoing support. He highlighted that Siegfried (Nantong) Pharmaceuticals Co is a key part of the group's global strategy, and the group plans to further expand its presence in Nantong by using its strengths and industry influence to bring more high-value-added products to the city.
