The unveiling ceremony of the VisonPharma (Nantong) R&D Headquarters was successfully held in Chongchuan district on June 6, significantly boosting the development of innovative drugs in the region.

Founded under the leadership of an academician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Weishun Medicine is an innovative drug R&D enterprise recognized as a specialized and sophisticated small and medium enterprise in Shanghai. The company specializes in the development of small-molecule novel drugs, focusing on addressing challenges in therapeutics for hepatitis B virus infection and immune-related diseases.

Its Nantong R&D headquarters will focus on the clinical development of current products, exploration of new pipeline candidates, and establishment of a formulation production center. Post-commercialization and annual sales are projected to reach at least 500 million yuan ($69.60 million).

Moving forward, Chongchuan aims to continue anchoring its strategy in the life and health industry, with key focuses on innovative medical devices, innovative drugs, synthetic biology, and cell and gene therapies.
