During the upcoming May Day holiday, Tongzhou is set to launch a cultural and tourism carnival.

The event will feature cultural spectacles including song and dance performances, Huangmei Opera, pop music shows, and lion dances, as well as activities such as high-speed motorbike stunts.

The holiday celebrations will extend into a lively bazaar. Vendors will showcase traditional crafts blue calico-printing and kite-making. Delectable treats like steamed rice cakes, crispy biscuits, sugar figurines and tanghulu (candied fruits) will also be on offer, as well as green agricultural goods.

This May Day, Tongzhou invites you to taste tradition, feel the thrill, and take home a piece of its living heritage.
