Haimen shines in cross-Yangtze integrated development
Haimen made advancements in cross-river integrated development in 2025, underscored by the establishment of a strategic cooperation agreement with the Hongkou district of Shanghai and the launch operation of the domestically developed super-large-diameter shield machine Jianghai Hao.
Using the city's geographic advantages and proactive governance, Haimen has solidified its position as a frontline hub for regional synergy, continuously fostering new drivers for high-quality development.
Zhengyu town in Haimen, once a traditional industrial base, has transformed its development model by capitalizing on the expertise of Nantong Zhenkang Welding Electromechanical Co, a leader in robotics manufacturing. The town has cultivated an innovative industrial robotics cluster through collaboration with institutions like the Shanghai robotics industry research institute.
Meanwhile, Linjiang New District exemplifies Haimen's industrial restructuring. Over the past decade, the district has pivoted from chemical production to a biomedicine-focused ecosystem, driven by its proximity to Shanghai and strategic alignment with the Yangtze River Delta region.
