Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province is home to numerous scenic spots and profound cultural elements. To facilitate the tour of international visitors, we have designed unique travel itineraries for visitors from various countries. Here is one of the two recommended travel itineraries for Southeast Asian tourists.
Theme: Exploration of Jianghai Culture and cuisine
【DAY 1】In the morning, visit the Hai'an Qingdun Ruins Museum to understand the cultural value of the ruins in Nantong. Explore the Shuihui Garden, a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The Shuiming Tower within the garden is hailed as a unique example of the Anhui architectural style.
In the afternoon, visit the first museum established by the Chinese themselves, the Nantong Museum, to learn about the history and culture of Nantong and experience the industrial spirit of Zhang Jian (1853-1926), who aimed to save the country.
In the evening, take a boat ride to tour the thousand-year-old ancient moat, the Haohe River Scenic Area. The river's clear waters and the natural beauty of seagulls flying and fish swimming are likened to a "jade necklace" embellishing the city.
【DAY 2】Travel to Qidong to visit Golden Beach, the earliest place in Jiangsu to welcome the sunrise. Explore the Hengda Biha Yinsha, a unique sea where the Yangtze River meets the Huanghai Sea.
At noon, visit one of China's four major fishing ports, the Lyusi Fishing Port, to savor fresh seafood and experience the fishing port culture.
Recommended cuisine: Try any unique local vegetables of Qidong and enjoy a seafood banquet.
