Zilang Livehouse debut rocks Nantong Grand Theater in Chongchuan
The inaugural Zilang Livehouse concert debuted at Nantong Grand Theater on the evening of March 29, where the song Haohe River stirred nostalgic memories of the city's iconic Haohe River among fans.
Launched by Nantong Grand Theater in Chongchuan district, Nantong, Zilang Livehouse is a music label dedicated to discovering and promoting local musical talents, fostering a platform for original music exchanges.
The debut event, themed "Hao Jie Gun" (a phrase in the Nantong dialect meaning "incredibly awesome"), showcased the incredible talent of two local rock bands: The Pumpkin Carriage and Liquid Blue. The Pumpkin Carriage, celebrated for its folk-rock style, resonated deeply with the audience as it delivered a heartfelt tribute to the city's cultural landmarks.
Zilang Livehouse has curated two themes: "Hao Jie Gun" and "He & Guang". The upcoming concert is expected to showcase a representative band of neo-Chinese rock — The Chefs and Actors, set to perform at Nantong Grand Theater with tickets recently released on platforms.
By bridging music and urban culture, Zilang Livehouse aims to create shared emotional experiences, allowing audiences to connect deeply with the city's charm through melodies and lyrics.
