Haimen's e-commerce center boosts sales during shopping festivals
The e-commerce sector in Haimen district, Nantong, experienced significant growth during this year's Double 11 and Double 12 shopping festivals. The live-streaming sessions held by businesses at the district's E-Commerce Public Service Center saw a steady increase in online viewers and transactions.
Throughout November and December, enterprises based in the center processed over 20,000 orders, achieving over 2 million yuan ($274,012) in total sales revenue.
Since becoming Nantong's first national-level e-commerce demonstration county in 2019, Haimen has prioritized e-commerce as a key driver of rural vitalization and innovation. The district has actively developed service platforms for specialty stores, with a particular focus on its E-Commerce Public Service Center.
Located in the Dieshiqiao Textile Technology Park in Sanxing town, the center spans 1,300 square meters and offers a wide range of services, including operations support, training, live-streaming spaces, and product displays. Businesses using the center can access free, comprehensive support, such as enterprise incubation.
The center began operations in March this year and currently hosts nine home textile companies and two e-commerce service firms. Its facilities have become a valuable resource for local businesses, helping them thrive in the competitive e-commerce landscape.
