The aviation film project of FFLink New Materials (Nantong) Co Ltd, located in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (NHIZ), was recently launched. This marks a significant milestone in the commercialization of aviation functional films, transitioning from laboratory research to industrial-scale production.

The project is backed by Shanghai Nalinv Technology Co Ltd and focuses on the research, production, and sale of aviation protective films, advertising films, and drag-reduction films. Aviation films play a critical role in aircraft manufacturing, offering features such as drag reduction, high-temperature resistance, and thermal insulation.

According to Lin Yujin, general manager of FFLink, the company's nexttask will center on developing drag-reduction films for airplanes. Drag reduction has long been a key focus in aerospace, as it provides substantial benefits in terms of energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and lowering operating costs for aircraft.

Shanghai Nalinv Technology has a long-standing partnership with NHIZ. In June 2017, it established Nalinv Nanotechnology Nantong Co Ltd in the zone, followed by the completion of three project phases. The company is now preparing for its fourth-phase project in the zone.
