High-end textile research institute launched in Hai'an

The Hai'an-Nantong University High-End Textile Research Institute was inaugurated in Dec 18. Jointly established by Nantong University and the Hai'an government, the institute serves as a collaborative innovation platform for high-end textile technology research and the commercialization of results. It aims to facilitate concept validation, pilot testing, and technology industrialization for professionals engaged in textiles and related fields.
Sun Yize, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor at Donghua University, expressed confidence that the institute's "enterprise-driven, expert-led" model will yield a series of industrialized research breakthroughs. He noted its potential to become a benchmark for innovation in the textile sector, contributing to the high-quality development of the industry in Nantong and the Yangtze River Delta region as a whole.
Nantong University President Yang Yumin emphasized the university's commitment to leveraging its comprehensive academic and research strengths. He outlined plans to assemble expert teams and provide tailored services to meet the needs of Hai'an's textile industry. The university will focus on technological innovation, talent collaboration, and strategic consulting to support the high-quality growth of Hai'an's textile clusters.
