The Intellectual Property Office of Jiangsu Province recently unveiled the 2024 list of recognized public service outlets for intellectual property information. Among the honorees is the Hai'an (Furniture) Rapid IP Protection Center.
These public service hubs are designed to provide accessible IP information services to innovators, entrepreneurs, and the general public. Hai'an, one of China's three major furniture industry clusters, boasts the Hai'an China Eastern Furniture Industry Base, spanning 147 hectares and housing the largest standalone furniture market in the country.
Approved by the China National Intellectual Property Administration in December 2023, the Hai'an (Furniture) Rapid IP Protection Center integrates fast-track examination, verification, and rights protection. It focuses on providing expedited design patent authorization, confirmation, and IP rights defense for the local furniture industry.
Moving forward, the center aims to prioritize IP protection, ensuring that design patents are processed and authorized within the same quarter they are filed. This approach will reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance innovation incentives. By fostering a robust IP protection framework, the center hopes to attract top design talent, drive industrial transformation, and support the region's high-quality development.
