At the just-concluded seventh China International Import Expo (CIIE), companies from Nantong in Jiangsu province showcased their keen international vision and proactive procurement intentions.

The Nantong delegation, consisting of 1,309 enterprises and 5,524 professional visitors, actively sought cooperation opportunities within pavilions and returned with fruitful outcomes.

Jiangsu Zhiyan International Trade, a chemical products and graphite import-export enterprise, has participated in the CIIE for several years. The company focused on the technology equipment, food, and agricultural products exhibition areas this year and successfully signed a procurement agreement with Mitsubishi Corporation.

Xia Lei, the company's head of overseas markets, stated, "The CIIE has provided us with an excellent platform for communication and cooperation, enabling us to ensure stable overseas raw material supply, meet domestic demand, and guarantee the quality of exported products."

Shende Non-Invasive Era, a leading provider of non-invasive medical treatment solutions, attracted significant attention at the CIIE through its Nantong branch. The company's leader, Tao Jian, headed straight to the medical equipment and pharmaceutical healthcare exhibition area to learn about the latest industry trends and cutting-edge global technologies, seeking opportunities for collaboration.

"At the Siemens booth, I saw a variety of new magnetic resonance imaging devices, including a 3T MRI that is compatible with our products. We have already reached a strategic cooperation agreement with Siemens, expecting more collaboration in the business realm," Tao noted.

Statistics from the Nantong municipal bureau of commerce indicate that in this edition of the CIIE, purchasers from the manufacturing sector accounted for over 47 percent of the Nantong delegation, with the technology equipment exhibition area being the primary focus for Nantong buyers.

Additionally, Nantong enterprises have shown a strong enthusiasm for purchasing consumer goods, software, and information technology services, demonstrating their desire and strength for diversified international cooperation.
