Qidong creates 9,539 new urban, rural jobs in H1

In the first half of this year, 9,539 new urban and rural jobs were created in Qidong, a county-level city of Nantong, Jiangsu province, exceeding the annual target and completing the task at the top of the list in Nantong.
Since the beginning of this year, Qidong has taken a series of measures to promote employment, such as providing training for jobseekers and establishing platforms to connect jobseekers and employers.
Qidong has prioritized the employment of university graduates, offering a comprehensive service package for graduates that includes career planning, job-hunting skills, policy interpretation, and rights protection.
The city also provides employment and entrepreneurship services for veterans and offers training services for people with physical challenges.
In addition, Qidong has taken various measures to expand in-person recruitment channels.
The city has also intensified the development of labor bases, establishing long-term and stable labor cooperation relationships with regions rich in labor resources, including the provinces of Shaanxi, Yunnan, and Guizhou. To date, it has established more than 40 labor cooperation bases nationwide.
The city has tapped into local labor resources as well. So far this year, it has organized 98 job fairs, with 702 companies participating and offering approximately 30,000 jobs.
