The Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, located in Tongzhou district of Nantong city, East China's Jiangsu province, has introduced 150 science and technology innovation projects in the last three years.

Through continuously attracting, cultivating and strengthening sci-tech innovation projects, the zone is striving to build itself into an influential area that initiates significant technological or industrial innovations and a gathering place for emerging industries.

Jiangsu Bangtec Environmental Sci-Tech was founded in the zone in 2017. It is committed to providing integrated customized solutions for industries such as photovoltaics, lithium batteries and semiconductors, with water treatment separation membranes and system operation as the technical core.

Cao Xiaoqing, deputy general manager of the company, said that as soon as the company settled down, it received a subsidy of 3 million yuan ($421,245) for talent introduction from local government departments. This was of great help for the startup.

The integrated circuit industry is the leading industry in the zone. In 2020, an integrated circuit equipment and component industrial park was built there, attracting a group of industry-leading companies to settle.

To better serve these companies, the zone built a professional industrial sewage treatment plant in the southern area.

He Jing'an, general manager of PI Semiconductor (Nantong), said that reasons why the company chose to settle in the zone were not only because of the zone's great geographical location near Shanghai and Suzhou cities, but also because of the zone's professional industrial sewage treatment plant and high-quality business environment.
