On Sept 19, Qidong in Nantong, Jiangsu held a launch ceremony for its "Fresh Highway" project. Starting from the northern end of the Chongming-Qidong Bridge, the route passes several key attractions, including the Diehu Lake Park, the Riverside Greenway, Golden Beach, and Qitang Ancient City, before reaching its final destination at Lyusi Fishing Port, the northernmost point of Qidong.

Inspired by a feature article in the China National Geography magazine published in March, which highlighted Qidong's unique appeal, the term "fresh" has become synonymous with the city. Together with China National Geography, the city has now introduced the "Fresh Highway" as a signature route showcasing its cultural and natural offerings.

Tourists along the highway can enjoy breathtaking coastal views, sample Qidong's renowned seafood, and immerse themselves in the city's rich cultural heritage. China National Geography has designed a series of visual guide systems for the highway, including iconic red-frame photo spots, signboards, banners, and ground murals. The route also features a variety of local-themed souvenirs to enhance the experience.

Following the unveiling, the "Qidong Blue Fresh Run" event took place, with enthusiastic locals donning the highway's custom T-shirts and running along the scenic route, promoting the beauty and uniqueness of the "Fresh Highway".
