Nantong in Jiangsu province promoted its culture and tourist attractions in Shanghai on Sept 22 via onsite presentations and online marketing, as part of the 2024 Shanghai Tourism Festival.

A guide from Nantong talked about the city's close relationship with Shanghai and recommended exploring Nantong's Jianghai Culture, participating in parent-child travel routes, and trying local delicacies.

Representatives from Langshan National Forest Park, Nantong Forest Safari Park, Qitang City Immersive Park, and Zhouji Menghuan Island introduced their respective entertainment facilities and planned celebrations during the upcoming National Day holiday.

Acrobats and performers of Rugao puppetry demonstrated their impressive skills during the event, winning rounds of applause from Shanghai residents.

The presentation concluded with a showcase of the cultural institutions and natural landscapes of the Haohe River scenic area, including Nantong Museum, Nantong Blue Calico Museum, and Gengsu Theater.

Shanghai and Nantong are connected by the Yangtze River, fostering close ties and frequent exchanges. Nantong is currently seizing the opportunities presented by the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and participating in the construction of the Shanghai metropolitan area.

As a sub-venue for the Shanghai Tourism Festival, Nantong is actively participating in activities such as the float parade at the opening ceremony and showcasing its scenic spots, cultural performances, and cuisine.
