The M026 Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, constructed by Qidong COSCO Marine Engineering, has successfully installed all its modules and is now entering the commissioning phase.
The FPSO, with a central hull length of 335.31 meters, is designed to produce 180,000 barrels of oil daily and process 12 million cubic meters of natural gas. The vessel can be considered a mobile offshore factory with a maximum storage capacity of 1.4 million barrels of crude oil.
Upon becoming operational, the FPSO is set to be deployed in waters at a depth of approximately 1,900 meters. It will possess the capability to concurrently connect to 15 oil wells for the extraction of oil and gas.
This FPSO vessel marks the first collaboration between Qidong COSCO Marine Engineering and the globally renowned SBM Offshore. Qidong COSCO was responsible for the design, construction, and integration of 15 upper modules, as well as the overall assembly and commissioning of the vessel.
