In a recent announcement, the results of the 2023 National Cultural Heritage Tourism Case Studies and Routes Promotion Event revealed that the Nantong Haohe water museum tour route has secured a spot among the top 50 destinations nationwide.

Launched in May 2023, this route stands out as the first water museum tour route in the country. Nantong boasts a multitude of museums, many of which are located around the Haohe River, forming a distinctive cluster of museums along the riverbanks. The water museum tour route strings together these museums on both sides of the river, integrating the unique historical, cultural, and natural landscapes along the banks of the Haohe River into its itinerary.

Starting from the visitor center pier, visitors can enjoy the natural beauty and cultural heritage along the riverbanks, meandering along a stretch of the Haohe River. Exploring the museums along the way provides insights into the historical and cultural evolution spanning ancient times to the present, allowing visitors to savor Nantong's rich history and urban transformation.
