Nantong museums promoted in Hohhot

Seven museums in Nantong, Jiangsu province, were showcased at the 10th Chinese Museums and Relevant Products and Technologies Exposition, which was held in Hohhot, capital of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, from Aug 23 to 26.
While highlighting Nantong Museum, the first public museum in China, Nantong's exhibition booth displayed the development of museums in Nantong over the past century through photos, physical objects, new media, and onsite experiences.

The Nantong booth became one of the most popular on the opening day thanks to its onsite activities.
At the entrance, a player of Mei'an guqin performed the traditional Chinese instrument on the replicated balcony of Nantong Museum while expo-goers waited in line to try rubbing the horizontal inscribed boards from the city's China Charity Museum.

One of the most influential museum-related activities in China, the 10th Chinese Museums and Relevant Products and Technologies Exposition saw the participation of 552 museums and enterprises. It features five themed sections, including the achievements of China's museums, the accomplishments of cultural and museum-related enterprises, as well as the development of digital museums.
