On July 19, the Shanghai Jiading Industrial Zone and the Hai'an Economic and Technological Development Zone signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation framework agreement. The partnership aims to foster deep collaboration in various fields, including industry, talent development, and public welfare.

Hai'an has maintained close ties with the Shanghai Jiading Industrial Zone for years. Hai'an's key industries, such as equipment manufacturing, new materials, new energy, robotics, and intelligent manufacturing, closely align with the development of Jiading Industrial Zone.

The Hai'an ETDZ has proactively undertaken industrial transfers from the Shanghai area, establishing industrial parks such as the Shanghai (Yangpu) Hai'an Industrial Park and the Shanghai (Fengxian) Hai'an Industrial Park. Notable Shanghai enterprises like Shanghai New Power Automotive Technology and Mercury Home Textile have set up operations in Hai'an. To date, Hai'an has attracted nearly 400 projects from Shanghai enterprises.

In addition, renowned universities such as Tongji University, East China University of Science and Technology, and Shanghai University have established technology transfer sub-centers in Hai'an. Over 30 Shanghai research institutes have formed strong collaborative relationships with Hai'an enterprises.
