In recent years, Qidong in Nantong, Jiangsu has seized opportunities presented by the Yangtze River Delta integration strategy, leveraging its advantages in transportation and space capacity to deepen project collaboration with Shanghai and southern Jiangsu.

In the first quarter of this year, Qidong attracted 31 new industrial projects, each valued at over 100 million yuan ($13.8 million). Sixteen of these projects are worth over 500 million yuan. Projects originating from Shanghai and southern Jiangsu represent more than 70 percent of the city's new industrial projects.

Mingyi Biotechnology is one of the enterprises housed in the Qidong (Shanghai) Collaborative Innovation Center. The company's general manager, Li Changsheng, explained, "By conducting research and development in Shanghai and benefiting from Qidong's favorable project and talent policies, we are not only able to attract more R&D talent but also secure support for our company's growth."

The Qidong (Shanghai) Collaborative Innovation Center, which opened in October last year in the core area of Shanghai's Zhangjiang Science City, aims to pool scientific and industrial resources from both Shanghai and Qidong. The center fosters a regional innovation community with R&D and incubation in Shanghai and production in Qidong. To date, the center has welcomed seven projects.
