Haimen district in Nantong, Jiangsu province has in recent years been pursuing high-tech projects to cultivate new quality productive forces. Since last October, the district has successfully attracted 20 projects related to strategic emerging industries.

These projects encompass a diverse array of fields, including new-generation information technology, high-end equipment, and biomedicine.

The 1.2-billion-yuan ($165.82 million) electronic circuit substrate base, funded by Shanghai-based Nanya New Materials Co, and the Pudong Software Park Haimen Base, are set to invigorate the district's new-generation information technology industry.

The district has also secured six high-end equipment projects, with a notable contribution from Taiwan-based Jin Yi Cherng Precision Co. This project focuses on producing high-end components, such as axles for ABS/ESC motors, automotive EPS, and automatic transmission motor axles.

In addition, a groundbreaking innovative biopharmaceutical project with a total investment of 5 billion yuan has been launched in Haimen.

Local officials have emphasized that the establishment of these high-tech projects will play a pivotal role in accelerating the formation of new quality productive forces and driving high-quality economic and social development.
