Haimen district in Nantong, Jiangsu province has in recent years been working to foster new quality productive forces.

The establishment of the Shanghai Pudong Software Park (Haimen) Innovation Base in 2023 is a pivotal step in this direction, fostering comprehensive cooperation between Haimen and the park.

This collaboration encompasses areas such as enterprise incubation, technological innovation, artificial intelligence, and IT talent cultivation, with the collective goal of creating a new focal point for the digital industry.

Haimen has also successfully secured investments for high-end electronic circuit substrate and new film material production line projects in March, injecting vitality into its new-generation information technology industry.

These endeavors are part of a broader strategy by local authorities to cultivate leading industries, including new-generation information technology, intelligent equipment manufacturing, and high-tech marine engineering and shipbuilding, as well as high-end sectors such as new medicine, new energy, and new materials.

Haimen is currently home to six "little giant" enterprises at the national level and 34 at the provincial level.
