Giant Food sees increase in sales revenue for January-February
Jiangsu Giant Food Co Ltd, located in Tongzhou district, Nantong, Jiangsu province, reported a sales revenue of 12.51 million yuan ($1.73 million) for the first two months of this year, marking a 17.83 percent year-on-year growth.
Giant Food is an integrated agricultural enterprise specializing in vegetable cultivation, processing, sales, and research and development. The company boasts advanced quick-freezing fruit and vegetable production equipment, production workshops, and a cold storage capacity of 16,200 metric tons.
The company has an annual production capacity of over 10,000 tons of Jia'an branded quick-frozen vegetables, including a variety of products such as quick-frozen broccoli, scallions, green beans, sweet beans, and fava beans. These products are mainly exported to the European Union, Japan, the United States, and Canada.
The vegetable core bases established by the company cover a total of more than 8,000 mu (533.33 hectares) in Liuqiao town and surrounding areas, with a radiating base of over 10,000 mu. The company produces over 10,000 tons of various raw vegetable produce annually, generating an additional processing income of over 7 million yuan for farmers each year and benefiting more than 10,000 farming households.
Due to its outstanding performance in the agricultural industry, the company has been recognized as a leading provincial-level agricultural industrialization enterprise in Jiangsu Province and a national food industry outstanding leading food enterprise in Jiangsu Province focusing on agricultural science and technology.
