Online registration has opened for the 2024 Nantong Marathon, which will be held at 7 am on April 21, local media outlets reported.

The event includes a full marathon, a half marathon and a fun run covering distances of 42.195 kilometers, 21.0975 km and 5.5 km, respectively.

The total number of contestants this year will be 25,000, of which 5,000 spots are allocated for the full marathon, 7,000 for the half marathon and 13,000 for the fun run.

Running along the route, participants will enjoy the beautiful sights of the city – from bustling central business districts to the charming Zilang Lake, and from the Yangtze River to the Langshan Mountain National Forest Park.

In order to attract more runners, the organizers will give out prize money with a maximum of 10,000 yuan ($1,389) to each of the top eight finishers.

Runners can sign up for the event by logging onto the official 2024 Nantong Marathon website or scanning the following QR code.

Certified by the Chinese Athletics Association, the 2024 Nantong Marathon is sponsored by the Nantong municipal government and organized by the management committee of the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, the management office of Nantong Innovation District, and Nantong municipal bureau of sports.
