Nantong rolls out celebrations for upcoming Lantern Festival

Nantong in Jiangsu province recently announced its celebration plans for the Lantern Festival, which falls on Feb 24 this year.
The celebrations will be held at the Nantong Incity shopping center from Feb 24 to 25.

A family of three 10-meter inflatable dragon models featuring Nantong blue calico cloth and other local culture will stand at the entrance to welcome visitors.
Bazaars themed on the intangible cultural heritage in Nantong, museums, snacks and handmade items, as well as books will be arranged while four traditional activities for the festival, namely, traditional Chinese dances, dragon dance, glutinous rice balls distribution, and lantern riddle guessing, will be available.

Celebration participants who take and share photos on their social media accounts will receive a red envelope containing a sum of money. They will also be invited to write down their wishes and write a letter to themselves.
