Haimen district in Nantong, Jiangsu province recently implemented a comprehensive set of measures aimed at supporting enterprises in maintaining production stability and retaining workers during the upcoming Spring Festival.

These measures encompass various forms of support, including subsidies, the establishment of a dedicated task force, and the provision of care for employees. Notably, from Feb 9 to 17, enterprises leasing State-owned assets for accommodating non-local employees, such as dormitories and talent apartments, will benefit from a half-month rent exemption.

Furthermore, enterprises, including construction sites that arrange for employees to work during the holiday period, will receive a subsidy of 100 yuan ($13.99) per person per day for on-duty staff, with a maximum subsidy of 200,000 yuan per enterprise.

To ensure a smooth return to work for migrant workers, dedicated service teams have been set up to provide tailored services for each enterprise. These teams are tasked with addressing specific issues faced by businesses and providing comprehensive support for the orderly return of workers.

Additionally, efforts are being made to strengthen transportation support for various production materials, ensuring a consistent supply of water, electricity, gas, and heating to guarantee the availability of all essential production elements.

The protection of employees' rights and interests is a key focus, with measures in place to ensure that wages and labor compensation are paid in full and on time. Channels for labor rights protection will remain unimpeded, with a commitment to resolving disputes over unpaid wages both online and offline, while guiding workers to assert their rights in a rational and lawful manner, fostering a harmonious labor relationship.

Moreover, a series of community care initiatives are being carried out, including providing free access to public facilities such as libraries, cultural centers, art galleries, museums, and tourist attractions across the district. Enterprises are also encouraged to implement multiple measures aimed at fostering a positive atmosphere of care and support for their employees.
