A signing ceremony for a specialized cable project funded by Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology Co Ltd (ZTT) was held at the administrative center of Rudong county in Nantong, Jiangsu province on Dec 25.

The project involves a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan ($209.81 million) and will be carried out in two phases. Its primary focus is on producing galvanized steel cables and twisted cable products.

According to ZTT, the project will incorporate advanced technologies for processes such as heat treatment, wire drawing, and galvanization. Embracing the latest in smart, digital, and information technologies, the project is expected to produce an estimated 200,000 metric tons of products annually.

The project signifies a significant step for ZTT in refining and expanding its presence in the energy, telecommunication, and marine system industries. It will boost the company's competitive edge and innovation capacity and enhance ZTT's offerings in smart grids, telecommunication cables, submarine optical cables, overhead conductors, and specialized optical cable products.
