More than 400 businesses from Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province will participate in the upcoming 134th China Import and Export Fair, commonly known as the Canton Fair.
From Oct 15 to Nov 4, Nantong businesses are expected to showcase their products at over 600 booths in 38 exhibition areas for electronic and electrical products, home appliances, home textiles, and bags and suitcases.
Nantong Huaqin Textile and Decoration Co, producer of home and commercial textiles, began preparing for the fair two months ago. Currently, all the samples have been packed and are waiting to be consigned to Guangzhou, Guangdong province.
Ding Huijuan, foreign trade department manager at Huaqin, said that they plan to exhibit seven kinds of textile products and recycled fabric is their characteristic.
She also said that the company has been making innovations by learning about the latest demands from international clients at the fair.
Another exhibitor, Nantong Longteng International Trade Co, a manufacturer of bags and suitcases, will bring 28 sets of products to the fair and expects to further tap emerging markets including South America.
Li Dun, president of Longteng, noted that they have also invited some heavy buyers from other countries to attend the fair.
The fair will include an exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, an increase of 50,000 sq m compared to the last session, on which 28,533 Chinese and 650 overseas companies will display their latest innovative products.
