Qidong girl Xu Nuo won the women's epee individual championship at the 2023 National Fencing Championship held on Sept 3.

This is Xu’s first individual gold medal in the adult category of the national competition. "I will turn this championship into confidence and motivation for preparing for future competitions and strive to do better," Xu said in an interview after the game.

On Aug 21, the Chinese Fencing Association announced the list of participants for the fencing event of the Hangzhou Asian Games. Xu will compete in the women's epee event.

Xu, as a rising star in the Chinese fencing arena, has won gold medals in various competitions. Just a month ago, good news came from the Chengdu FISU World University Games, where she and her teammates won the women's epee team championship.

Xu will continue to prepare for the Asian Games, hoping to impress on the court.
