Two intangible cultural heritages in Haimen district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, have been listed among provincial ICHs, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced on Aug 14.

The two ICH items are Qijiaquan (or Qi Family boxing) and mutton cooking techniques.

Qijiaquan, which was developed by Qi Jiguang, a prominent military strategist in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), is popular not only in Jiangsu but also in the provinces of Zhejiang and Shandong.

Haimen mutton features appropriate ingredients, seasoning and heating control. Mutton is a famous dish in Jiangsu largely due to the Haimen unique cooking techniques.
