Nantong Vocational University becomes first vocational skills training base in Chongchuan
Nantong Vocational University signed cooperation agreement with Chongchuan human resources and social security bureau on Aug 8 to become the first vocational skills training base in Chongchuan, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province.
The agreement is an initiative by Chongchuan to enhance collaboration among government, colleges, and enterprises. This year, the district plans to establish one district-level vocational skills training center and set up key majors in cross-border e-commerce, intelligent equipment, and electronic information. It also aims to build various personalized and characteristic training bases.
Based on the agreement, Nantong Vocational University will provide skill training, skill competitions, entrepreneurship training, teacher training, and other services for college graduates. The focus will be on cultivating talent that meets the demands and industrial characteristics of Chongchuan.
Over the past three years, Chongchuan has introduced several policies to encourage enterprises to actively participate in talent cultivation and promote cooperation between vocational schools and enterprises.
To date, the district has awarded 107 enterprises with subsidies totaling 2.51 million yuan ($348,164) for high-skilled talent. The district has also cultivated 15,000 new talents, including 3,796 highly-skilled talents.
Moving forward, Chongchuan will establish a training alliance for industrial talent to further promote collaboration between government, schools, and enterprises and provide more talent for the high-quality development of the district.
