Beer carnival kicks off in Nantong

The curtain on the second Nantong Beer Carnival finally rose in Zilang Park in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Aug 4, local media outlets reported.
The highlight of the carnival is the 2,400-square-meter Qingdao beer zone, which showcases various high-end beers, containers for peddling original Qingdao beer, funky spaces, and special delicacies.

Local residents and tourists can also enjoy colorful light shows, refreshing fountain shows, and exciting live performances.

A special zone was set up where job hunters could review 4,520 jobs involving electronic information, modern service, and high-end manufacturing offered by nearly 170 local businesses.
Auto shows and housing fairs are also on tap at the same time as the carnival, which will run until Aug 13.

During the event, the counties and districts in Nantong will also host activities to lighten up the nighttime life of local residents. For example, Chongchuan district will arrange a beer and lobster festival, Rugao will organize a cooking competition, and Rudong will have a taste and music fest.
